Primark, Newlook + Make Up Haul :)

Hi girlies,

I am finally back, after what has seemed like a very long week with out blogging! I have however, managed to do a little bit of shopping here and there since the begging of half term and this first week back at college so I thought I'd show you some things that I've picked up!

This is currently filled up with folders, text books and other boring college things, so I thought I'd show you the website picture of my new college bag! It's £14.99 from newlook and is actually big enough to fit all of my folders which is a major plus! They sell this bag in so many colours but I thought the neutral brown would be best, I also love the long strap which helps to distribute the weight of my heavy books!

This is a bit of a rubbish picture, but I picked up these two nail polishes from Accessorize as they were 70% off for £1.35 or something like that :) One the left is Khaki Folly and Hot Pink on the right! I love Accessorize nail polishes, I'm currently wearing Aztec which is £4

So I don't know if it's the same in your local superdrug, but in mine there's a stand of Gosh makeup on sale! Above is GOSH Velvet Touch Waterproof Eyeliner in Pure Natural which was on sale for £2 rather than £5. I like to use natural skin coloured eyeliners on my waterline to reduce and redness and to create a wider eye! Underneath is a cream blush in Silky Rose, which was on sale for £4 rather than the usual £6.50 it's definetly not coming up true to colour, it's more like a rosey pink :)

Next is a simple pair of black heels from Newlook, a staple in every girls wardrobe (or so I've been told!) these cost £20, and will be featuring in an upcoming outfit of the night! I love these because they have a platform which makes them so much more comfortable!

Next is one of those love/hate items, this leopard print dress is £10 from Primark, and is in the typical skater style, the belt around it cost £2 from Primark aswell, the dress actually comes with a belt but I didn't like it haha!  I'm going to be wearing this with black tights, the shoes shown above and possibly a black blazer! I know this print isn't for everyone, but I personally like it, even thought it's a little bit out of my comfort zone!!! Living in Essex, seeing the odd bit of leopard print isn't too unusual haha!

The lacey top is also from Primark and was £7, I love how feminine this top is, I'll obviously be wearing a litte camisole or something underneath but I picked this up because I thought it looked pretty haha!

Let me know if you have any hauls or posts you would like me to look at! I try my best to respond to all of your lovely comments so let me know if you have any questions!

Stay Beautiful,

Hannah xx

Quick Update

Hello lovelies!

I am so sorry  I haven't posted for a whole week now!! I feel terrible, but I have been so busy this week with final coursework deadlines, university visits and college assessments etc. Not to mention some personal things with friends which I won't go into because it's not my business to haha! So I am currently sitting on my bed attempting to write a 2000 word essay (Help!) wishing that I could so something a bit more fun. However, I promise that as soon as I have finished this bit of work I will hopefully be posting a collective haul from the past 2 weeks! If you guys are interested I am also planning on writing a review of a hair serum this week! There will also be an outfit of the night next Saturday as it is one of my friends 18th's so there should be some future blog posts to look forward to! Also I am very close to hitting 300 followers (eek!!) so thank you to all my lovely, loyal followers - I love you all!

Hopefully I will be posting later today,

Beauty Blogger Book Club - Inspired by Ariel and Perdi :)

Hello loves!

So this week has been half term, which has been lovely, I've managed to catchup with lots of friends and family, aswell as having a little bit of spare time for once!! I managed to do a tiny bit of shopping so a haul should be up in the next couple of days, but for now I'd like to ask you girls something! I've just been talking to the lovely Ariel http://www.chiclookxo.com/ and Perdi http://watermelonraindropx.blogspot.com/ on twitter about a recent purchase:

The Hunger Games!! Recently I've heard so much hype over these books that I decided to buy it and see what all the fuss was about! I'm only a few chapters in but I can already tell why so many people love and adore these books. So after chatting to Ariel and Perdi about the books, Ariel suggested a book club! I don't know about you guys, but I actually think that it would be really fun to start a Beauty Blogger Book Club.

If you guys have read The Hunger Games let me know in the comments below what you think about the book, are you looking forward to the film coming out? If you haven't read the Hunger Games would you like to?

Also, if you want to, tell me what books you guys like and we can all have a chat about it! I thought we could maybe post about one book a month, but let me know what you guys think!

Stay Beautiful,

Hannah xx

Eleven Questions Tag + Happy Valentines Day!

Hello lovelies!

Happy Valentines Day! I hope you've all had a lovely day whether you're in a relationship or a single pringle like myself! I've just had a Lush Comforter bubble bar bath and am currently tucking into some cake!!! Anyway, my lovely sister Chloe http://www.thebeautycorner.co.uk/ tagged me in the Eleven Questions Tag so here we go! :) Sorry I stole the picture Chloe :P

The rules

- Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog
- Choose eleven people to tag and link them on the post
- Go to their page and tell them
- No tag backs

Eleven Things About Me

1. As most of you would know I'm a twin, my sister Chloe who is a whole 9 minutes older than me has a blog as mentioned above!

2. I have a part time job in a local pharmacy / drugstore - I'm basically a doctor ;D (Kidding!!)

3. I'm currently in college studying Sociology, Psychology and English Literature.

4. I'm starting University in September to do a Joint Honours Degree in Sociology and Criminology (I'm thinking about doing a university series because I know how daunting the prospect can be! Starting from chosing your degree, how to apply, visiting unis, finance, how I chose my final choices and eventually actually starting - let me know if you guys would be interested! :)

5. Chloe may or may not have mentioned this in her post but we're from Essex, we have the accent but that's as close as I get to the people on TOWIE haha!

6. Following on from that I'm a reality TV junkie some of my favourites are I'm a Celebrity, The XFactor, The Hills and The Real Housewives of New York.

7. Other than the obvious role models of family / friends etc. One of my main role models is Bethenny Frankel, I'm not sure if this is strange or not haha, as alot of people in the UK may not know who she is and she's my Mums age, but I love how honest she is always is, and the fact that she didn't have a great childhood but has achieved so much in her life! Another role model of mine is the lovely Taylor Swift, she always remains so classy and I love her music!

8. I basically collect nail polish, I'm ashamed to say I still have lots that I haven't even used yet haha!

9. In primary school we learnt sign language the only things I can remember is the alphabet and the Christmas song Silent Night :')

10. I've had to wear glasses since I was 11 years old, I can barely see anything at all without them!!

11. Call me a child, but one of my absolute favourite places is Disney World, I genuinely believe IT IS one of the happiest places on Earth ;)

Questions

- What is your favourite makeup brand?

I love Bourjois, the face products are amazing!

- High street or designer clothes?
Highstree everytime! I really don't see the point of spending £200 on a tshirt, I think it's lovely if you can afford a designer wardrobe, but I certainly can't haha! I think if I were to go for designer pieces it would be on wardrobe staples like jeans or shoes :)
- What is your favourite movie?

I have so many, it really chops and changes, but one of my firm favourites is Dirty Dancing, I love a good chickflick! For comedies though I would have to say School of Rock or Mean Girls!

- Where do you buy the majority of your clothes from?

Once again I buy bits and pieces everywhere, but probably Primark, Newlook, H&M and Forever 21

- What is your makeup essential?
Mascara!! As I wear glasses and I'm short sighted, the lenses make my eyes look smaller than they actually are, so I can definetly not live without mascara!
- You are stuck on an Island what do you bring with you?

It doesn't say one thing so I'm going to take it as a few things ;) I'd say photos, my laptop, books to read, my iPod etc.

- What is your wardrobe staple?
I'd definetly say jeans, I wear them basically every day to college!
- How do you organise you makeup?

I'm not gonna lie, my makeup collection is one big mess in a variety of makeup bags, with all of my nail polish in mini drawers and a big box haha!

- Quiet village or buzzing city?
I love a mixture of both I absolutely love being in London and NewYork, but I also like a bit of peace and quiet. Hmm if I had to chose one right now I'd probably say a buzzing city, but for now atleast I'm perfectly happy in Essex!
- Do you buy fashion magazines? If so what is your favourite?
I do occasionaly, but I'm not an addict! I tend to read my sisters, but I usually reach for Glamour or Look magazine :)

Drug Store Haul - Soap and Glory, Bourjois + More!

Hi guys,

So it's been freezing here in Essex for the past few days, we've had snow and ice which has finally started to melt! But guess what? As I'm writing this post it's started snowing again!!! I love snow for the first day but then it turns to ice and is a complete pain :| At my college / sixth form we don't have snow days which sucks! Sorry, rant over haha! :')

Anyway, I popped into Boots and Savers after college today and got a few things so here you go!

  • Kleenex Mini Tissues 6 Pack -76p on sale!!!! So this is pretty self explanatory, but I saw these tissues on sale and had to pick them up! I love lepoard print and lace so I thought these were so cute, I don't know about you guys but I like to always have a packet of tissues in my bag and kleenex are the best!
  • Soap and Glory 'Feel the Knead' Soap - Half price £2.56 - I saw this in Boots today and it caught my eye. Basically it's a soap / massage bar that is supposed to help with cellulite - gross I know, but I do have a few stretch marks on the top of my legs from when I had my growth spurt (I'm 5"8) so I thought this might help a little. It's supposed to smell of chocolate, mint, thyme and vanilla! I'll let you know how I get on with this :)
  • Soap and Glory Super Cat Liquid Eyeliner - £6 - This needs no introduction, I love Soap and Glory Products and needed a new felt tip eyeliner, so I thought I'd pick this one up as I've heard so many good things about it!
  • Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (Vanille Clair) - £9.99 - As you all probably know, I constantly rave about this foundation as it actually matches my skin! I just ran out so I thought I'd buy another :) I have a full review of this and the serum if you would like to check that out!
  • Grace Your Face Chin and Forehead Strips - 79p - This was one of those products that I saw in Savers that I bought on a whim really, they are supposed to remover blackheads and unclog pores so we shall see whether they work or not!
  • Pantene Pro-V  Smooth & Sleek Hairspray - £1.99 in Savers - Once again I needed a new hairspray so I thought I'd try this one out! If any of you guys have tried this before let me know what you think!

Finally the background for these products is actually a blanket I picked up in Primark yesterday for £5!! It's the softest thing in the world and has such a cute floral pattern! I was feeling a it miserable with all of this cold weather so I thought I'd get a nice blanket to snuggle up in haha!

Until next time,

Stay Beautiful,

Hannah xx

Mini Haul :)

Hi Guys,

I was about to post my January Favourites, which should be up tommorow, but instead I thought I'd post a mini haul! It's currently half past eight at night, so my lighting is rubbish, so excuse the pictures from online! After college today I got a few things and thought I'd show you guys, I only picked up a few things but I was particularly excited by one of them!

The first things I picked up were these Sex and The City False Eyelashes by Eyelure for £1.99 each in Savers - Crazy right?! Above are the Miranda lashes described as 'Polished and Sexy' as they go towards the outer corners the volume becomes thicker! Below are the Charlotte lashes described as 'Feminine and romantic' these are alot more natural, but also longer and more defining, I think both pairs are gorgeous! It's not very often that I wear false eyelashes but on the ocassions I do I love them!

I also picked up this Revlon Crazy Shine nail buffer for around £3 in superdrug! I've heard a lot of good reviews for this product so if any of you girls have tried it, let me know your opinions!

Finally is the product I'm most excited about - The Bourjois Healthy Balance Face Power which was £8.49 in Boots! As some of you will know I adore the Healthy Mix Foundation and Serum so when I saw this today I had to buy it! The powder smells amazing, feels lovely and smooth and there is a giant mirror inside which certainly comes in handy! I'll do a better review after I've used this for a while but I'm already certain I'll love it! I also recently purchased the Maybelline Dream Satin Foudation in Ivory, which ironically is too dark for my skin!!! So I'm going to stick with the lovely Bourjois from now on!
