Drugstore Make Up Reviews: Battle of the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundations

Hi guys,
This is going to be my first makeup review, so bare with me :) One of my favourite makeup brands is Bourjois Paris, I absolutely love their face products, and my favourite foundation this past year has been their healthy mix foundation, I have used it religiously every day! I actually tried Garnier's BB Cream in the shade light, but it was actually too dark for my skin tone, so I gave it to my sister Chloe who now owns 2! Anyway, Bourjois recently came out with a new product called Healthy Mix Serum which is a gel foundation, I was running out of my regular Healthy Mix so I thought I'd try the Serum!

As you guys can probably tell I was nearing the end of the regular Healthy Mix on the right! I wear the lightest shade (51 Vanille Clair - Light Vanilla) in both products.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (Available at Boots and Superdrug) - £9.99
The first thing I'd like to say about this product is that it smells amazing and lasts all day! I'd describe the consistency as being quite light while giving good coverage. I would not advise you buy this foundation if you prefer a matte finish, as it gives you quite a dewy complexion which I personally love! The packaging says that the product contains Apricot for radiance, Melon for Hydraytion, Apple as an Antioxidant and Ginger for energy. It was also voted makeup product of the year 2011 in a consumer survey, which has to be good right?

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (Available at Boots and Superdrug) - £10.99
Firstly I apologise for the marks on the lid, I ripped the security lable thing of the top and now it's all sticky haha! I'd say the main difference between the two products is consitency - this serum gives a much lighter coverage and blends incredibly well! I'd say that it does cover redness and marks on skin, however, if you have a few blemishes or just generally prefer a thicker foundation go for the regualr Healthy Mix! This one is said to contain lychee, goji berries and pomegranate, meaning like the other one it smells amazing!

Final Verdict: I absolutely adore both products, that I can't simply say I prefer one to the other! However, I do prefer to wear them at different times depending upon the state of my skin. When my skin is clearer I tend to reach for the Serum, but if I have any blemishes or I'm feeling a little bit more insecure I tend to go for the regular Healthy Mix! All in all they are both amazing products that I would recommend to anyone! I cannot say enough good things about them :) AND they don't come with the high end price! Well done Bourjois!
Have you tried either of these foundations, what do you think? If not what are your favourite foundations? Let me know!

Get The Look: Sam Faiers - The Only Way Is Essex

Hi Guys,

As some of you might know, I'm from Essex, and those of you from the UK will probably have heard of the TV Show 'The Only Way Is Essex' - it's definetly a love/hate kind of show haha! I personally love it, whereas my sister Chloe hates it! Anyway, I was watching it on ITV Player the other day I noticed that one of the girls Sam Faiers was wearing a dress from newlook (Sorry I only got an action shot as I couldn't find any photos online!!!) I have to say it's not the type of dress I would usually go for, but I thought it looked really nice on, if you watch the show then you'll be able to have a better look :)

Anyway, this is the dress from Newlook:
Little Mistress Floral Belted Dress - £36.00
You can purchase this dress online at Newlook - Click Here
Or Little-Mistress - Click Here
I know this might not be everyone's taste, but let me know what you think! Would you like me to do more Highstreet Look's For Less, or Celebrity Inspired looks?

FABULUSH - My Top 5 Lush Favourites

Hi guys,
I thought I'd make a favourites post today of my five favourite items from LUSH's permanent line - If I included Christmas products we could be here all day haha!
1. Bubblegum Lip Scrub - £4.95
I absolutley adore LUSH's lipscrubs, they really leave your lips feeling soft and smooth, when I purchased this the girl in the store let me and my friends try it out! It tastes amazing and the best part is that it's edible, so you can lick your lips afterwards!

2. Each Peach Massage Bar - £5.25
Okay, admitedly this probably isn't the best thing to use in the cold months, but I had to include this as I've been using this massage bar all summer! It smells gorgeous, with peach, coacoa butter and shea butter, making it super moisturising! When I purchased this the girl also told me that bugs don't like the smell of peach, so it helped to keep the mosquito's away while I was on holiday!

3. Sex Bomb Bath Bomb - £2.99
When ever I'm feeling a bit rubbish or stressed this bath bomb is amazing to help me relax! It smells of sage, jasmine and ylang ylang, making it lovely and floral. It also contains lots of soya milk, meaning the bath water goes lovely and milky, helping to mositurize my skin.
4. Comforter Bubble Bar -  £3.99
This is a cult favourite! If I go into LUSH this is the one item I HAVE to pick up, I usually break it into about three pieces to make three baths, and oh my my my, it smells amazing! Plus I'm pretty sure it's called the comforter for a reason, because every time I smell this my day suddenly gets better!!! It smells slightly of blackcurrents which I love and has plenty of lovely moisturizing goodies packed inside to make your bath heavenly!

5. It's Raining Men Shower Gel - £4.25 - £14.95
Well, some might say I've saved the best til last, I'm currently having a debate with myself as to whether this or the comforter is my favourite product! This gorgeous shower gel smells exactly like the Honey I washed the Kids Soap (one of my other favourites), it's jam packed with honey and wild orange, making it smell like the best honey and toffee sweet in the world! It may not be to everyone's taste but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shower gel, it lathers really well and feels very luxurious. Originally it was a limited edition product so I was very sad when it was discontinued, however, the panic's now over because it's part of the permanent line (Hooray!)

There are alot of other Lush Products that I adore - actually I pretty much love all of their products haha! Any way guys, what's your favourite LUSH products? Or if you haven't been to LUSH before what would you like to try?

Hi there...

Hi guys, I'm Hannah!
If you're reading this it's probably because my twin sister Chloe from thebeautycorner sent you here.

That's me on the right! So I think I should let you guys know a little bit about me, so I'm going to write 5 facts about me :)
1. I'm 9 minutes younger than Chloe who claims that was the best nine minutes of her life! But she's only joking (I hope!!!)
2.My favourite singer is Taylor Swift, yes I am one of those girls who sings into a hair brush and dances around her bedroon when no ones there!
3. I'm currently at college, studying for my last year of ALevels, my subjects are Psychology, Sociology and English Literature. I have just finished applying for universities! (Scary Stuff) When the process of getting accepted and moving away from home comes around I can write some blogs for those of you who are going through the same thing, or will be in the coming years :)
4. Two things I'm obsessed with - Nail Polish and LUSH enough said ;)
5. I'm always on twitter! Follow if you like :) @IamHannahx

This blog is going to be a mismatch of different mostly beauty related things, but I would just like to say I'm not an expert on makeup, so I'll leave the tutorials to my Sis! Although I may still review my favourite products, as well as different tips and tricks, hauls, nail tutorials and generally my life!
I hope you've enjoyed this brief introduction, please comment with any post suggestions or questions you have, and let me know who you are so I can read your blog :)

Stay Beautiful,
Hannah x
